Curriculum Intent

Our curriculum equips students with knowledge drawn from mathematics, science, engineering, computing and art, enabling them to design and create products that meet their own needs and the needs of others. By learning to take risks and innovate, students become resourceful and enterprising citizens ready to thrive in an increasingly technological society.

Through the evaluation of historical and contemporary design and technology, students develop a critical understanding of its impact on daily life and its role in shaping culture, creativity and national wellbeing. We focus on ensuring every student acquires the creative, technical and practical expertise needed to navigate everyday tasks confidently and participate successfully in the modern world.
